COURSE OVERVIEW
Outdoor education is one of the fastest growing educational approaches in Europe, helping schools promote sustainability, wellbeing and active learning.
This Erasmus+ course introduces teachers to outdoor education methodologies and experiential learning approaches that transform nature into a dynamic learning environment. Participants will explore practical strategies for organising outdoor lessons, promoting environmental awareness and developing students’ creativity, collaboration and well-being.
Through hands-on workshops, outdoor activities and field experiences, teachers will learn how to confidently integrate outdoor learning into everyday teaching practice.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- design curriculum-linked outdoor learning activities
- apply experiential and game-based learning methods
- conduct basic risk assessment for outdoor lessons
- organise safe and engaging outdoor classroom environments
- integrate environmental and sustainability education
- use nature-based creativity and mindfulness activities
- build students’ teamwork, curiosity and environmental responsibility

OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this training course is to provide a specific focus on outdoor education for preschool, primary and secondary schools.

The course is carried out if there are more than 6 participants.
The course fee is 480€. It includes the course program a guided town tour and an excursion.

Day 1 – Introduction to outdoor education & networking
Day 2 – Experiential learning and game-based outdoor activities
Day 3 – Field excursion and sensory outdoor learning
Day 4 – Creativity, ICT and outdoor classroom design
Day 5 – Adapting outdoor education to your school
Day 6 – Optional outdoor excursion
