WHO IS IT FOR?
This course is for primary and secondary school teachers.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
This course includes presentations, art and creativity workshops, and field trip(s). The course program includes a guided town tour and a boat excursion to stunning Telascica Nature Park.
This teachers’ course is focused on creative expression as a tool for lowering stress in your classroom. Participants will experience the strong therapeutic power of arts through various art techniques using mostly natural and recycled materials. You will learn how to implement creativity in everyday teaching.
During the process of creating decorative and practical items or art pieces one can raise its self-esteem, self-expression, empathy, and confidence. Art is an excellent tool to promote integration and improve communication among students, especially the ones affected by learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and students with special needs.
Participants will be involved in first hand learning through workshop activities focusing on personal experience and self-expression. They will learn how to combine art theory and practice in a stress-free environment, how to maintain students’ attention and motivation. We will inspire you to use more natural materials and to find nature as the biggest inspiration.
Workshops are designed to make participants feel like successful artists. No previous knowledge or experience in visual arts is needed. All necessary materials and tools will be provided for you. You can also bring all your artworks home with you. All workshops are family friendly so you can bring children with you without extra charge.
The participants will get course certificate and Europass mobility document.
The course is carried out if there are more than 15 participants.
The course fee is 480€. It includes the course program a guided town tour and the entrance to the exhibition.
The finaln excursion is optional and charges extra.

Day 1:
- Introduction

- Creating mandala as a form of meditation

Day 2:
- Impact of art and creativity in everyday teaching
- Dreamcatcher – making a dreamcatcher from natural materials
- Friendship bracelet – knitting a friendship bracelet from multi-coloured threads
Day 3:
- How to lower stress in our classroom?
- Clay modelling – antistress workshop
- Frame your memories – making a picture frame or mirror as a souvenir of the trip
Day 4:
- Introducing free natural materials in creating artworks
- Mobile – making a mobile from natural materials
- Sea bottle – knitting and decorating glass bottles
Day 5:
- Final activities
- Evaluation of the course
- Diploma awarding
Day 6:
- Half day excursion (optional)
- Outdoor meditation – How to meditate in Nature?
- A special stone – painting or decorating pebbles/stones
